Today is my thirty-second birthday. They’re coming a bit quicker these days.

I had an idea. It’s something I would like for all of you to get me as a gift. The idea is that Niger, this land that I love, needs way more than me. Go to liveten24.org and check it out.

Live ten24 asks you to choose to give something up every month. Something that costs ten dollars and twenty-four cents. Like a movie ticket. Or three lattes. Then you give that money for wells, orphans, schools, food for hungry kids, and small businesses.  So much can be learned through sacrifice.  Even a small one like $10.24.  I love the idea of giving something up.  Some how it means more this way.

There has been so much happening in my heart lately. I can’t wait to tell you about it soon. I want my life to make a difference in the lives of these people.  May you have a joy filled Ides of March!
